Here we have one of the great old classics from Mexico, Boleite - rarely seen on matrix ! This Potassium, Silver, Copper Chloride is one of those beautiful rarities that is highly sought-after by collectors. A thumbnail, it features a single, 6mm cube of Boleite sitting on a matrix of Anglesite and Montmorillonite (decomposed clay). Boleites are famous for their rich, metallic-blue color, as well as their luster and form. This cube has a tiered upper face, and the view from one angle allows you to really appreciate the areas of gemminess within the crystal. A special piece. Old JohN Albanese label. From the collection of East Coast collector, George Elling, specializing in historic minerals of the East Coast and minerals from the development of old European mineralogy.
