Item Description
Two outstanding clusters of Boltwoodite, a rare potassium, sodium, uranium silicate, literally explode like fireworks against the dark Calcite matrix. The deep, rich orange color is excellent, and the luster on the acicular crystals is good. Such deep color and completeness to the large "balls" of crystals is almost unheard of from the Goanikontes Claim, let alone any other location. Also nearly unheard of are complete sprays like this reaching up to an amazing 1.4 cm across. This is a SUPERB small cabinet specimen of importance for the species, valued $2000.
