Boracite

Here we have a good quality Boracite specimen from a new find a few months ago in Bolivia. While these specimens are not a new find per se, they are new specimens from a well known locality. Most people are familiar with the "blue" Danburites from this locality, but the other staple species found here is Boracite. This piece features a well formed, sharp, translucent, soft blue color cube of this hard to find species on matrix. The cube measures 11 mm on edge. There were only a handful of crystals from the entire find that were on matrix. Do not miss out on this great display specimen of a species that is not often found in attractive specimens.
