Item Description

Anhydrite specimens are RARE from this old classic German locale. A pair of sharp, lustrous, translucent, silvery-grey colored, cubic Boracite crystals (with very small octahedral modifications) measuring up to 6 mm sit on the massive Anhydrite matrix to create this attractive overall specimen. The main crystal is completely undamaged, while the second crystal is contacted. Don't miss out on this one as they are virtually impossible to obtain. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4173) with a label from Dr. F. Krantz of Bonn, Germany. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
