Item Description

A good quality small cabinet display specimen of this now hard to find material from Kazakhstan featuring fine, sharp, gentle steel-grey colored Bornite crystals which are attractively scattered on matrix. The biggest Bornite group on the edge of the specimen measures 2.8 cm across. A very attractive Bornite specimen by any standard, and the best of these pieces are considered to be the among the finest found in modern times. These specimens came out for a brief time in the early 1990s, and are now quite rare on the market. Dzhezkazgan mines are famous for sharp world-class Bornite specimens.
