This is an excellent small cabinet display specimen featuring fine sharp, isolated, iridescent Bornite crystals which are attractively scattered on Quartz and Calcite on matrix. The largest Bornite crystal measures 1.1 cm across. This is an excellent Bornite specimen by any standard and are considered to be the finest found in modern times. These specimens came out for a brief time in the early 1990s, and are now quite rare on the market. Dzhezkazgan mines are famous for sharp world-class Bornite specimens.
