Bornite on Calcite (fluorescent)

The well-known Dzhezkazgan district produced some of the world's finest and most attractive Bornite crystals in the 1990s to early 2000s. These complex, pseudo-octahedral crystals to 8 mm are aesthetically isolated on a matrix of fluorescent Calcite. The iridescence and crazy-vivid colors are enhanced by the luster. These are like peacock feathers wrapped up in little packages, the color is so good. Bornite crystals are quite rare, worldwide, and this is a very fine combination cabinet specimen. Large sized piece, for this locality from classic finds of the 1990s!
