Item Description
A big display specimen of this attractive association from Dzhezkazgan. These now classic specimens found their way to the Western market in the early 1990s, but are seldom seen today. The best of these piece remain as some of the finest crystallized examples of Bornite from any world locality. This is an excellent and eye-catching full cabinet sized specimen featuring fine sharp, iridescent metallic Bornite crystals associated with lovely smoky golden colored "dogtooth"-habit scalenohedral Calcite crystals on Quartz on matrix. The largest Bornite group measures 8 mm across, and the largest Calcite measures about 5 mm long. This is an excellent overall specimen, with no damage that I can find.
