Botryoidal Fluorite

Item Description

This find of a couple of years ago really shocked the mineral collecting world, because botryoidal fluorites are rare, and here you had intensely lavender ones (which had rarely been seen before). This exceptional, bubbly, botryoidal, TWO-SIDED piece has great form and the moderately translucent botryoids have a nice glow when backlit. Both botryoidal fields are essentially pristine. Periphery wear across the top, at the base and ends (moderate) are noted, but have only very modest impact on the striking appearance of this piece. Highly representative and uncommon two-sided material of the rare species and find from a few years ago.
