Item Description

A 7.7 cm, purple hemisphere or "bulb" is aesthetically attached to the quartz "stalk" on this sculptural large combination from China. The pretty purple translucent nubby fluorite has matte lustre. Botryoidal fluorites are rare worldwide. They are best known from Mahodari, India, from the mid-2000s here finds in China (purple ones) and purple ones from near Canon City, Colorado. It has a beautiful glow, when back lit. This is a good sized combination ball from the find with excellent aesthetics. Note the color is best when strongly backlit.
