Item Description

An attention getting CABINET specimen of sparkling, variably-sized, rich green, malachite botryoids from recent finds from one of the numerous copper mines near Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of Congo. The sculptural, 3-dimensional aspect of the vuggy crust is striking, as are the banded color variations across the larger botryoids. The overall quality of this dramatic specimen is minimally impacted by the little bit of bruising and the minimal periphery wear. Valued at $500-600. Ex Zukowski Collection.
