An OLD-TIME, CLASSIC specimen from the famous Herodsfoot Mine of Cornwall. Lustrous, sharp bournonite cogwheels are aesthetically set on matrix of massive bournonite. Historic specimens of this quality were recovered from 1850-1875 and are certainly one of the most desirable Cornwall species. This very fine and showy piece is very minimally impacted by a bit of contacting, as you can see. Highly desirable material from this famous and long-closed locale. Valued $500. Ex George Elling Collection.
