Item Description

In recent years, there hasn't been very much in the way of good Bournonites from the Machacamarca area, and as a result, we don't have as many to offer in the auctions as we used to. This miniature sized piece was mined in the mid 2000s, and is one of the better examples of Bournonite from this mine that we have offered for a while. It features very attractive, sharp, metallic, lustrous, silvery-grey color, bladed crystals that almost have a "cogwheel"-esque shape measuring up 1.5 cm on edge across aesthetically sitting on tiny grey Quartz crystal matrix. The piece is in excellent shape overall, and I can't find any major damage. If you're a fan of sulfosalts, metallic minerals or simply Bolivian material, don't miss out on this attractive display specimen of these beloved Bournonites.
