Item Description

Classic and hard to find crystals of metallic, silvery Bournonite measuring up to 1.6 cm are beautifully sitting on Pyrite matrix. The Bournonites are good quality with nice luster and "gun metal" exterior. The striations of the prismatic crystals along with the attractive appearance sitting on the golden Pyrite makes for an eye-catching overall specimen. Just a few superficial imperfections, but overall in great shape. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7110). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
