Item Description

A fine quality and attractive thumbnail specimen of the famous Brazilian crystals from Linopolis. This piece is a very sharp, lustrous, well-formed, yellow green color crystal with minor accenting white Albite forming an wonderful overall piece. If you look closely on the bottom, you'll see the piece is crystallized (though partially overgrown by Albite), making this a rarely seen doubly-terminated example, and I would go so far as to say it's a complete "floater", as I can't find any breaks or point of attachment. The quality is good overall, with no major damage, only a few VERY tiny imperfections that I found with a loupe. The piece is pretty gemmy in areas and not at all "crazed" like many from this area. A great example of this rare and classic material. Valued $950.
From the collection of David E Ziga, a geologist who graduated Miami (of Ohio) University in 2017, with a mineralogy background.
