Item Description
Rich, excellent example of the sharply crystallized Brochantites from Morocco, something we saw long ago and have not seen in recent years. The acicular needles grow to about 4 mm, and they are usually seen here in attractive sprays. The fabulous luster of the needles serves to enhance the electric green color that Brochantite, at its best, is known for. This piece was labeled as being from Taznakt (Tazeka), near Agadir, but I suspect that the correct locality is more likely Goulmima or Bou Bekker. Either way, this is an excellent Moroccan Brochantite. It is a sturdy plate, that is quite shippable. Rare in this size and richness, valued $1000-1200
