Item Description

An attractive old specimen of the famous crystals of Brookite from Magnet Cove. Dozens of sharp, lustrous, well-formed, pseudo-octahedral (orthorhombic) crystals of black Brookite measuring up to 5 mm are sprinkled on a tabular prismatic grey colored Quartz crystal. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5113). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
