Item Description

An attractive and uncommon silicate, Bultfonteinite is rarely found in such unusual and appealing botryoids, let alone in combination with contrasting, grey-black Manganite matrix. Soft pink with textured, crystalline surfaces, the Bultfonteinite balls range up to 5 mm, and they richly fill all the pockets within the matrix. This cabinet-sized piece is quite aesthetic, and equally unusual for the uncommon habit and the good definition of many of the Bultonteinites. Super sparkling! Such specimens are sometimes found at shows in SMALLER SIZES, with miniatures priced $1000-up. Rare but seen in the early 2000s, these are generally rare on the market today and are not contemporary. This is a huge example, one of the largest we have seen in over a decade, and it is gorgeous, big, showy, and important. At 6 inches across, it is a rich example for the species of arguably the most beautiful and important style as well. Valued $5000-plus.
