Item Description

There are two localities in the world where fine Bustamite crystals are found. One is Franklin, New Jersey, and specimens are typically always opaque. Broken Hill, Australia has not only produced superb crystals, but fine GEM material as well. The mineral specimen in this set is a wonderful crystallized Bustamite from Broken Hill featuring a predominant, fairly sharp, gemmy, beautiful orange-pink prismatic crystal flaring out of matrix. The matching gem is also from Broken Hill and has a fiery honey-orange color with a "Freeform" cut and great clarity. Faceted stones of Bustamite are very hard to find these days, as there are few localities in the world that produce material of gem clarity. A great set for anybody who collects rarities.
