Item Description

Beautiful acicular radial "sprays" of strong golden-yellow colored Cacoxenite sit on what I believe is Eleonorite (what we used to called Beraunite from this locality) associated with small baded spheres of Kidwellite (or possibly a mix of Dufrenite and Widwellite). The Indian Mountain locality has produced some of my favorite micro examples of some classic phosphate species including Phosphosiderite and Strengite, but this Cacoxenite is just beautiful under magnification. We used a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to illustrate the quality. A wonderful hard to find specimen of this elusive material from Alabama.
