Item Description

Cafarsite is an ultra rare, hydrated arsenite and this very fine, rich specimen is from the Type Locality area in the Binn Valley of Switzerland. The dark sub-metallic, grey-brown crystals are well formed modified cube with octahedral faces. The crystals reach 7 mm. This is an outstanding example of species. Cafarsite was not discovered until 1966. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. Ex Rolf Wein Collection # 7212 via the George Elling collection.
