Calcite

Item Description

A beautiful classic Calcite from the famed Sweetwater Mine in Missouri, featuring a sharp, lustrous, translucent, soft golden-yellow colored prismatic crystal, which has been bifurcated by the thin "leaf"-like matrix running down the center. The piece has such an elegant and unique appearance, I can't remember seeing another like it. You can see that the Calcite is "whole" at the base, but it grew around the matrix and formed two trigonal terminations on each side. No major damage and so eye-catching!
