Item Description
A beautiful, sharp, blocky, rich dark amber calcite rhomb from the 2009 Chinese find. These caused quite a stir at the 2009 Munich Show and the 2010 Tucson Show. The crystal is very glassy and limpid and rests on a thin crust of hematite with pyrite on the bottom. Complete all-around. The display face is very nearly pristine, with only minute edge wear. A corner cleave on the back is totally out of sight. An excellent and above average specimen of this find, where the locality in Hubei Province was not divulged for some time.
