Item Description

An attractive association specimen from the now extinct mine Erika Mine. This small cabinet sized piece hosts sharp, well-formed, prismatic scalenohedral crystals of Calcite measuring up to 8 mm long associated with pinkish-grey tabular Barite blades up to 7 mm sitting atop a layer of sharp, well-formed, gemmy, soft yellowish-green colored Fluorite cubes measuring up to 7 mm on edge. There is a bit of a reddish hue from iron-oxide on select faces of the Fluorites for a nice touch. There is a bit of roughness here and there, so it's not 100% pristine, but still a good representation on these well-known and now very hard to find specimens. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3135). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics. She nearly lived 100 years from April 1920 - March 2020.
