Item Description

An impressive and sculptural large 360-degree Elmwood Mine combination specimen. Two intergrown 7.0 cm doubly terminated glassy, translucent cream-colored calcite crystals dramatically project upward from a 5.5 cm bladed barite ball. The 7.0 cm doubly terminated calcite below is a super accent to this side. The mounded matrix consists mostly of color-zoned purple and blue glassy fluorite cubes accented with tiny gemmy rubyjack sphalerite crystals. Patches of sparkly drusy silicified limestone matrix with barite ball and calcite crystal sections are additional compliments. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only a lightly bruised tip to one of the upper calcites. Modest purple fluorite fluorescence. This is a classic, striking and aesthetic large 360-degree combination from Elmwood.
