Item Description

Calcite specimens from this well-known underground limestone mine are a Norway classic. This is an aesthetic cluster of intergrown, lustrous, water-clear to translucent, light gray nail head spar prisms with nifty frosted and striated terminations. You can see a myriad of tiny, sparkly pyrites or marcasites in the interor. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. Gentle bruising to the back termination edges is out-of-sight. A broken crystal on the front lower right and contacting on the sides and back, with no damage, per se, are noted, but certainly have minimal impact to the overall excellent quality of this piece from the Cynthia Payne Calcite Collection. Valued by the former dealer at $350. Better in person!
