Calcite (doubly-terminated group)

Item Description

The Braen's Quarry in New Jersey has been seldom collected quarry for a while, but has been a source of excellent Zeolite specimens and associated species in small quantities. This piece features no Zeolites, but is a lovely, gemm/translucent, pale golden color group of doubly-terminated Calcite scalenohedra to create this really eye-catching large miniature / small cabinet display specimen. The piece is not completely damage free, but in fairly good shape for the material. Certainly different that most Calcites I've seen from Braen's, and would make a nice addition to a Calcite suite, or a collection of New Jersey minerals.
