Item Description

A dramatic, gemmy and lustrous, blocky calcite rhomb with gorgeous golden-amber color and very unusual, facet-like crystal faces. Some faces are water-clear, while others are lightly frosted. The frontal view and termination are in great shape. One side is partially cleaved, while the back and the other side are cleaved. This is a very fine and very unusual, old-time calcite from the Joplin Field and the George Feist Collection # 2408. Comes with a Mitch Gunnell label, a prominent American collector and part-time dealer. The label dates from the late 1940s to mid 1970s.
