Calcite (fine twins)

FINE quality, sharp, lustrous, GEM twins of glassy colorless Calcite sit smartly on matrix from this locality that's best known for its copper species. The Calcites are so incredibly transparent, combined with the beautiful intepenetrant habit of the twins makes this one of the most attractive Calcites I've seen from any Mexican locality. There seems to be one TINY rub on one of the twins, which keeps it from being perfect, but take my word for it, the quality is superb. The piece was valued at $750, and comes with a few labels from former collections, including Derwood Freitag.
