Item Description

When it comes to China, we've seen a plethora of superb quality Calcite specimens in a wide range of colors and habits in recent years, and the pieces from Wenshan are no exception. This specimen is a beautiful display piece that formed in a somewhat "flower" or "tree" shape with very pale golden to white, translucent, sharp, lustrous, scalenohedral crystals in a burst-like growth. This piece is in great shape overall, and truly displays well from all sides. A wonderful Calcite specimen to add to any Chinese suite or Calcite collection. This particular piece was mined in 2005, and there have not been any new ones on the market in years, so don't miss out because there may not be any more going forward.
