Fine, floral bouquet of the famous Calcites that come in so many different habits from Rio Grande do Sul. The stepped scalenohedrons, which radiate in all directions, have a nice translucense that highlights the bone-colored crystals. The largest Calcite is an impressive 5.5 cm, and they glow with a brilliant, orange fluorescence. Irai was long-known for these superb, gorgeous Calcites, but the supply has proven to be inconsistent over the years. Collector specimens remain rare, despite many common examples of lesser condition.
