A dramatically sculptural, rare and highly unusual-looking large combination from the famous mines at Dalnegorsk, probably from the 1990s or early 2000s. A classic for the species, this ilvaite is very sharp, lustrous, metallic-black, with a cluster of calcite crystals perched atop! The crystals of ilvaite are sparkling and lustrous, there are a few small quartz crystals attached to the top of the ilvaite. The calcite has a pinkish fluorescence. Just a great old miniature, very showy for contrast.
