Calcite ("Frog" Twin)

Item Description

A really cool and rarely seen Calcite specimen from Nandan in China. The Chinese dealer who sold me this specimen referred to it as a "frog"-shaped twin, and if you look closely, it truly does resemble the figure of a sitting frog with the legs on the side and the head in the middle. The twin itself along with being doubly-termianted, is VERY gemmy, with a beautiful light golden color and is very aesthetically sitting on the matrix. Please note that the matrix is sawed, but really is not terribly distracting. If you're a Calcite collector, or a collector of Chinese minerals, do not miss out on this beauty.
