Item Description

A very hard to find and excellent quality miniature display piece from the Lambert Quarry featuring a soft golden color, GEM quality, sharp, well-formed twin of Calcite measuring 2.7 cm across with minor notably orange-yellow color Stilbite "blades" on minor matrix. Good quality, though contacted on the back, but beautiful in person. The Calcite shows attractive stepped faces, and you can see that it does have a penetrating rhomb that is just poking through the main crystal as illustrated in the second photo. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
