Calcite included with Copper on Copper

Item Description

While the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is famous for its stellar Copper specimens, one of the other signature minerals from the area is Calcite, particularly those which feature inclusions of Copper. This attractive thumbnail hosts a sharp, lustrous, gemmy, well-formed doubly-terminated scalenohedron of Calcite measuring 1.0 cm, which features bright metallic pink inclusions of Copper, sitting on an elongated "stem" of Native Copper to create a fine quality and showy display specimen. No damage that I can find and just gorgeous, especially in a thumbnail, and they are not easy to find on matrix in this size range (especially in an eye-catching example).
