Item Description

A gorgeous display specimen featuring a pair of "feather"-like pink (manganoan) groups of lustrous Calcite scalenohedra aesthetically diverging and flaring off the underlying matrix. No real damage to speak of, save the base / back of the piece where it was separated from the pocket wall. This particular style is hard to find and highly sought after as it is quite reminiscent of the famous specimens from the Idarado Mine in Colorado along with various mines in Peru and the Kalahari Mn Field in South Africa. The piece comes from the collection of Ernie (and Vera) Schlichter by way of Don Olson and Crystal Cellar. Priced in the inventory at $1,500.
