Item Description

A beautiful Adamite / Calcite association specimen from the historic Ojuela mine in Mexico. One should label this piece as a Calcite first instead of an Adamite. The piece is in great condition overall, and features very eye-catching, undamaged, lustrous, translucent, scalenohedra of Calcite flaring off of rather lustrous botryoidal yellow-green Adamite on gossan matrix. The largest Calcite measures 2.0 cm. This mine is well known for its amazingly intense colors of Adamite, and this small cabinet is certainly a great example of this classic material. A beautiful display specimen from one of the most well known localities in Mexico. Valued at $600 in the inventory.
