Calcite on Dendritic Copper (ex Shields Flynn Collection)

A very good quality display specimen of these now elusive specimens from Onganja. Sharp, lustrous, gemmy, colorless scalenohedral crystals of Calcite measuring up to 3.7 cm are sitting atop beautiful, metallic, sparkling dendritic Copper matrix. Upon close inspection, the Copper shows beautiful crystallization all over, and the piece is crystallized on all sides. Very little damage, only a few bruises to some of the accessory Calcite crystals, but excellent condition overall. You can see some odd spherical etching patterns in some of the Calcite crystals as well. These were fairly hard to find back when they were coming out in the 1970s, but they are virtually non-existent on the market today. If you collect Calcites, Coppers or Namibian minerals, don't miss out on this one.
