Item Description
A classic crystal of the famous golden scalenohedral Calcites from the famed Sweetwater Mine in Missouri featuring sharp faces, good internal gemminess and great form. The highlight of the piece is that is features a distinct internal phantom that can be seen even without backlighting. Minor Chalcopyrite can be seen on the base of the piece. These speicmens are not nearly as common on the market as they once were, and are easily some of the most well known U.S. Calcite specimens extant. From the collection of Geoff Krasnov.
