Dramatic and sculptural 360-degree vertical small cabinet specimen of densely intergrown, multiple generations of gemmy calcite crystals with quartz-like form from a limited 2020 find at this obscure locale in Malaysia. Crystals reach 6.6 cm long on this striking pincushion. The glassy crystals are transparent with bright satin luster faces. Preferential light iron oxide tinting to some of the crystals is a very pleasing accent to the colorless crystals. Soft ghostly white LW UV fluorescence and excellent calcite from the locale. This came in a single flat of material we got, apparently brought out by a geologist into the European market in early 2021. Fascinating locality, beautiful shape, and extra bonus as a fluorescent!
