Item Description

A hard to find display piece from this mine best known for its Fluorite specimens. Here we have a sculptural cluster of hexagonal Calcite crystals from the November 2008 find. The crystals have pretty light pastel-pinkish color in areas (from iron inclusions), with glassy smooth prism faces and slightly stacked trigonal terminations. Bright pink-orange fluorescence as well! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11989). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
