Item Description

A really cool Calcite unlike anything I have seen from the Borieva Mine. The piece hosts a most unusual group of Calcite comprising hundreds of small, cream-yellow color, compressed, “pagoda”-like, scalenohedra, which are tightly packed together, creating an eye-catching composite crystal aggregate. The growth of these small Calcite crystals indicates that it might have been a replacement of a larger preexisting Calcite crystal, or maybe it’s just simply an unusual growth. The group is aesthetically sitting atop a matrix coated with small gemmy prisms of colorless Quartz. A great cabinet sized display specimen that really stands out compared to other Calcites I have seen from this locality. If you collect Calcite, I'll bet you don't have something like this in your collection. Priced at $1,250 in the inventory.
