Calcite with drusy Quartz

Dal'negorsk has definitely become one of the premier contemporary specimen producing localities around. The area has managed to produce amazing quality sulfides and Calcites that do not receive the appreciation they deserve. The piece is hosts a good sized, gemmy, golden color prismatic crsytal of Calcite aesthetically sitting atop a thin bit of matrix. The entire crystal is coated with sugary / drusy Quartz to create a very pleasing effect. Great quality, and really attractive for the locality. You don't see crystals on matrix like this from Dal'negorsk, and this is definitely an older specimen, probably circa early 1990s. Great quality, and better than most I've offered in the auctions recently. Valued at $1000 in the inventory.
