Item Description
We have seen many Mimetites from this locale, and many Calcites, but I this it's rare to find a combination piece with sharp Calcites sitting on Mimetite like this. Many sharp, well-formed, rhombic off-white colored crystals of Calcite measuring up to 1.0 cm are sitting on tiny spherical pale yellow Mimetite with minor gemmy colorless blades of Hemimorphite poking through from the underlying matrix. I believe this particular style was only found a single time, as I've only handled a few of them over the years. A very showy and fine quality association specimen from this classic locality.
