Item Description

Glassy, lustrous, sharp, colorless, calcite spires form a striking and excellent specimen from the historic mines at St. Andreasberg. The large scalenohedron has a nifty, snow-white phantom in the interior. Complete all-around, a trivial bit of termination wear and/or cleaving is noted on all of the spires, but are really minimal detractions, as you can see. A classic, old-time piece from this noted district, dating to the 1800s. Ex Howard Belsky Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
