Item Description

A sculptural doubly terminated small cabinet of two parallel-growth kunzite crystals from the famous Pala Mining District of San Diego County. Pretty variable pastel-pink color with typical waxy lustre striated faces highlights the water-clear to translucent prisms. The distinctively different terminations add character to this fine two-sided kunzite. Complete all-around and in great shape. Both edges are partially cleaved, which is certainly only a modest detraction. A classic, older gemmy Pala kunzite, possibly from the famous Pala Chief Mine or the more modern Beebe Hole find of the 1980s (we cannot say for sure). Ex Chet Lemanski Collection. 54 grams mass.
