Item Description

This rich specimen has intense, royal-blue microcrystals and crusts of Callaghanite, an ULTRA-RARE copper, magnesium carbonate. The contrast of the vivid Callaghanite against the light-colored Magnesite is striking. Known from only a few localities worldwide, the Sierra Magnesite Mine in Nevada is the TYPE LOCALITY. This fine locality piece was #5378 in Kay's collection.
