Item Description

Carletonite is one of the ultimate rare mineral species UNIQUE to the famous Poudrette Quarry at Mt. St-Hilaire, Quebec. This is a very colorful, lustrous, pretty blue cluster of elongated crystals, highlighted by the 1.2 cm, stepped, blocky crystal on top. There is another partially crystallized 1.4 cm crystal on the side. While not quite the stereotypical cubic habit of these crystals when they occur single (and smaller), these are very respectable in size- bordering on huge for species. These came out in the late 1990s. A very repectable specimen from this unique find. Valued $500
