Item Description

Classic and exellent Carlsbad-twinned orthoclase from near the famous Type Locality, Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad). Complete all-around, the mottled tan to gray crystal has textbook form doubly terminated form. Nearly pristine, one basal face is contacted, but is certainly only a modest detraction. Probably old-time material, but no proof. Comes with a label from respected Czech specialist, Josef Vajdak (Pequa Minerals). Ex David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
