Item Description

Exceptional, aesthetic and rare 360-degree orthoclase from this obscure California locality. A superlative, pristine 4.2 x 3.2 x 1.7 cm textbook sharp Carlsbad-twinned orthoclase crystal with moderate porcelaneous lustre is dramatically set atop the striking sculptural granite porphyry matrix shot through with numerous orthoclase crystal sections. Rare old-time material from the Bob Reynolds Collection. Bob is a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. A must for the locality or species collector. We have never seen another like this from this location.
